You're booked solid but still struggling to grow. Sound familiar?

🚀 This week:

  • Cut your hiring time by 90% - One simple switch that saves 5-10 hours every time you need to hire someone

  • AI tools that actually work - How to automate lead scoring and get 40% better results (without the tech headaches)

  • The citation secret - Why this overlooked local SEO factor can boost your Google visibility by 80%

Save Time When Hiring

Want to hire faster? Hiring takes way too much time for most small business owners.

But here's a smart trick one of my customers shared with me.

She stopped doing 30-minute one on one interviews. Instead, she now does one-hour group interviews.

This saves her 5-10 hours every time she needs to hire someone.

Group interviews work really well. Big companies like Dutch Bros coffee use them too.

Think about it this way: Instead of talking to 10 people for one hour each, you talk to all 10 people at the same time for just one hour.

That's 9 hours saved!

When you interview people together, you can see how they compare to each other. You hear their questions and answers at the same time.

Some companies can interview up to 20 people at once. This helps them hire much faster.

The downside? It's not as personal as a one on one chat.

But for first interviews, you're just trying to answer basic questions: Are they friendly? Can they handle pressure? Do they seem like a good fit?

You already know about their experience from their resume.

If you’re looking to save time in hiring, give group interviews a try.

🤖 Let AI do the Boring Stuff

Forget the hype. The best AI tools just handle the boring stuff you hate doing.

Think about how much time you spend on these tasks:

  • Answering the same questions from customers

  • Figuring out which leads are worth calling back

  • Scheduling follow-ups after estimates

  • Typing up notes after jobs

What if that stuff just... happened automatically?

Here's what some of my readers are doing:

Hannah (house cleaning, 30 employees): Her AI answers common questions on her website 24/7. "How much for a 3-bedroom house?" gets answered instantly, even at midnight.

Alex (car detailing, solo): When someone calls, his AI gives estimates for the car cleaning services they need and schedules them.

Alice (bookkeeping): AI listens to customer calls, takes notes, and captures tasks that need to get done.

Bryan (me!): When a new lead comes in via ads, I have it look up their website, and AI helps me understand if they’re a good lead (or not). All before my morning cup of coffee.

The magic isn't the technology. It's getting hours of your life back.

Tools like Zapier and newer ones like Make and Lindy AI can set this up for most businesses. The AI part means they can make smart decisions, not just follow basic rules.

Companies using AI to sort leads are 40% better at finding good ones. More importantly, they're not wasting time on bad ones.

📇 What Are Citations and Why Do They Matter?

If you've looked into local SEO or your Google Business Profile, you've probably heard about citations.

But what exactly is a citation?

A citation is when your business name, address, and phone number show up on another website. This could be Yelp, Bing, a blog, or your local Chamber of Commerce.

The key is that your information has to match exactly. If your Google Business Profile says "123 Main St" then every citation should say "123 Main St" too. Not “123 Main Street” or “123 Main”.

Why does this matter?

Google sees these citations and thinks, “Other websites care about this business. It must be real and important."

Citations are one of the top ways Google decides which businesses to show in local searches.

Here's what the research shows:

Businesses with citations on more than 10 websites get 80% better visibility on Google.

Businesses with citations on more than 30 websites see 136% more customer action.

That's a big difference!

Citations aren't the only thing that matters. Google also looks at:

  • Customer reviews

  • Whether your business is verified

  • Links from other websites to yours

  • And much more

Google changes how they rank businesses all the time. But citations have always been important.

The bottom line: If you want locals to find your business, you need quality and exact mach citations.
